Saturday 16th April – Kallidad & the Washing Machine

The Washing Machine

Bronwen went to put some washing on, but the machine did not spring to life as commanded. After some investigation and many arguments it was discovered that the annoyingly-non-standard-and-stuck-in-an-area-too-small-to-replace-with-a-normal-fuse fuse had fused. $3, a drive to Jaycar, and some soldering later I had made a replacement non-standard fuse and—to my surprise—it didn’t immediately blow and the washing machine worked again.

In case I need to remember, it’s a 4 amp slow-blow fuse.

Kallidad

We drove to the Motor Room twice—first to get there, and then to get there again after driving home to get my camera batteries. We then watched Kallidad—who were really good—and had some very spicy half-priced Indian baked goods for dinner.
