Day

I set an alarm to get up early, but didn’t feel like it, so didn’t. This meant that by the time Bronwen and I got to Swell Sculpture Festival in Currumbin (an hour’s drive from here), it was eleven o’clock and very busy. Perhaps fortunately though, it seemed a fun run or something like that had just finished—there was traffic congestion and a total lack of parking for kilometres. Perhaps that would have been even worse had we been earlier.

We spent $5 on a guide and map and wandered around the sculptures, getting a little sunburnt.

Evening

On the way home we dropped in at the PNG Independence Day Festival in Beenleigh.

Night

We spent the night at Bronwen’s parents’ place. They are still in Japan, and we needed to put the bins out.
