Monday 31st January – 53 Minutes

Morning

It took 53 minutes to get to work, dropping Bronwen off in the city on the way.

Night

Bronwen and I did some shopping at Woolworths, and Bronwen cooked me a nice dinner.

Tuesday 1st February – 45 Minutes

Day

I drove to work via Cynthia’s motorway entry, which took 45 minutes. I then I worked.

Evening

Bronwen had planned to go climbing, but it rained, so I picked her up on my way home, and we got Dominos pizza for dinner.

Wednesday 2nd February – Tropical Cyclone Yasi

Day

I worked, amid gathering gloom about the largest storm to ever hit Queensland, which was racing straight towards the coast.

Evening

I met Bronwen at her parents’ place, had a chat, then drove to Halim’s with Maz and had one of the best curries in Brisbane, then drove Maz back to his Aunt’s, and then drove myself out to Bronwen’s (and now my) place.

Night

I stayed up late watching the news as the cyclone raced towards, and eventually hit, the coast.

Thursday 3rd February – The Loving Hut

Morning

I drove to Toowong, picked up some mail, and arranged a mail redirection, getting to work late.

Evening

Bronwen and I went to the Loving Hut for dinner.

Night

I’m waiting for Bronwen to bring me my coffee, after I lost playing “Skip-Bo” with her.

Friday 4th February – Govinda’s

Day

I worked.

Night

I parked at South Bank and met Bronwen at the botanical gardens. We chatted, went for a walk, and ended up eating Govinda’s for dinner.

Saturday 5th February – The Eight Dollar Milkshake

Morning

I dropped Bronwen off at her parents’ place, from where she drove up the coast to see her Grandfather, and I continued on to Maz’s.

Afternoon

Maz and I drove up to Kieran’s, walked down to Indooroopilly, had an expensive nachos breakfast, then walked to Repco, JB-HiFi, and back to Kieran’s. After a while, we drove to Umart, then Officeworks, then back to Kieran’s. Then a little later, we walked to Indooroopilly shopping centre again, and went to Kmart—well, Maz and Kieran did, while I got stuck at Wendy’s, where I bought an eight dollar—that’s right, eight dollar—milkshake. While it was perhaps the best milkshake ever—I’m not sure it was worth eight dollars.

Night

After a walk down to 7-11 for sustenance, Bronwen called to say she’s arrived back, and I drove and got her, and we had dinner at Halim’s.

Sunday 6th February – Cleveland

Morning

Bronwen & Ned eating chips at ClevelandBronwen and I cleaned and moved things, slowly starting to move stuff into my room. We also drove to Woolworths and Bunnings, and bought two fan controllers and changed the one in my room.

Afternoon

It is an absurdly hot day—far too hot. Bronwen and I drove out to Cleveland, had chips and lazed about until it got cool. We then drove home and put my bed together and moved it into my room.

Night

Bronwen made a nice pasta dinner, and it (the day—and the pasta I suppose) slowly began to cool down.
